Text:
The paper examines the layers of various cultural patterns and religious practices in folk healing practices among the Bosniaks, which can be labelled as syncretism. The up-to-now culturological and historical findings about similar questions have been applied to the corpus of the examples noted down in the Bosniak practices in the territory of the sandžak of Novi Pazar. Since that is the locality in which the adherents of the Bosnian Church used to live, followed by the Catholic and Orthodox Church, and finally the Islamic practices, this space is interesting in a number of ways for ethnological and anthropological research.
Keywords: Bosniaks, folk healing practices, syncretism, Sandžak.
