Text:

In 1973 the SASA Hilandar Board formed a research team consisting of two ethnologists—Ranko Barišić and Miroslav Draškić with the following task: to start a systematic ethnological research of the Monastery and its possessions on Mount Athos. Their task was to find, record, and classify ethnographic items in the Monastery and to make photo documentation. The ethnological research of the SASA Hilandar Board lasted up till 1983. On this occasion, the memories of the authors of this research are presented, alongside the difficulties they encountered while working, but also their pleasure with the results of that work.
